Most Debt Settlement Attempts Fail

More Abuse Allegations Surface Against the Late Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson was dubbed the King of Pop during his lifetime for his astronomical success as an entertainer. However, Jackson left behind a legacy that extends beyond his entertaining abilities. The net worth of the late entertainer's estate has substantially increased since he passed away almost four years ago.

Media headlines used to detail the molestation charges against the King of Pop, but that talk largely subsided as headlines now focus on the wrongful death trial playing out in Los Angeles over liability for his death from propofol intoxication.

Although Jackson was found not guilty in 2005 of the molestation charges against him, recent reports indicate that this issue has not been entirely laid to rest. In the 2005 molestation trial, Wade Robson, a now-famous choreographer that spent time during his youth at Neverland Ranch, took the stand in defense of Jackson.

Even though a housekeeper reported seeing the young Robson in the shower with Jackson on one occasion, Robson testified under oath on more than one occasion that Jackson never molested him. Eight years later, the choreographer is changing his tune.

The choreographer’s attorneys requested approval of a Los Angeles judge to make a claim against Jackson’s estate for “childhood sexual abuse.” The choreographer claims to only now remember the repressed memories of abuse.

In all likelihood, Jackson’s family and children are devastated by these allegations. An attorney for the Jackson estate said, “Now, nearly four years after Michael has passed, this sad and less than credible claim has been made. We are confident that the court will see this for what it is."

In some instances, a probate attorney is essential to not only resolve disputes, but to defend the name of an individual that has passed on. It remains to be seen how this will be resolved.
